Krakatoa
Designed a web3 gaming marketplace on Ethereum — featuring crypto payments via Metamask and AI-generated art using Midjourney.

“Damir is a game-changer. He drove major product decisions, and his suggestions all paid off. I was happy with designers in the past — but after working with Damir once, my view of what a great designer was completely changed.”

The Marketplace
Krakatoa is a web3 marketplace where CS:GO players trade weapon skins and artwork using cryptocurrency on the Ethereum blockchain. I designed the complete eCommerce experience — from browsing and search through to checkout via Metamask. The design was built on a customised Frames X UI library and designed across 5 responsive breakpoints.

Buyer & Seller Dashboard
Unlike typical eCommerce, Krakatoa lets users bid and make offers to each other, and purchased skins need to transfer between Krakatoa and Steam. I designed the full account dashboard covering purchases, transfers, bids, offers, and account settings, with thorough handoff documentation reducing back-and-forth with the development team.

AI-Generated Art
I used Midjourney to create background art matched to each weapon skin — the first time I delivered a machine learning prompt as a design deliverable.

Outcome
Krakatoa shipped in two months and launched at krakatoa.gg. The project demonstrated that web3 eCommerce doesn't have to feel alien — familiar patterns like mega menus, faceted search, and conversion-optimised carts work just as well with crypto payments.
